Billingham Silver Band
Billingham Silver are a traditional brass band based in Teeside. They have a varied repertoire and are available to perform at functions throughout the North East and further afield.
Billingham Silver rehearse from 10-12 on Sunday mornings and from 7-9 on Wednesday evenings.
Perhaps more unusually, the band was one of the few formed during the war years, in 1941 as part of the Stockton Home Guard before becoming the Malleable Works & Institute Band in 1945.
By 1970 they were the Billingham Silver Band and Vaughan Evans became the conductor and in 1995 the band moved into their own purpose-built bandroom.
The band are a friendly, sociable group who are proud of their heritage and will always welcome new members.
